Aladi Aruna College of Liberal Arts and Science organised an awareness programme for college students on 18 September 2026 in association with the District Social Welfare Department and Sakhi – One Stop Centre (OSC).
The session focused on important social concerns, including women’s safety and protection, prevention of child marriage, the harmful effects of drug abuse, and various social welfare schemes available to the public.
Ms. K. Jeyarani, Administrator, Sakhi – One Stop Centre, addressed the students and explained the importance of women’s protection, along with the support and assistance provided through the One Stop Centre.
The students actively participated in the awareness session, gaining valuable information on safety, social responsibility and the support services available to them and their communities.
