An awareness programme on the theme “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu” was conducted at Aladi Aruna College of Liberal Arts and Science on 11 August 2026.
Mrs. Jothi Lakshmi, Sub-Inspector, along with her team from the Women Police Station, Alangulam, addressed the students and created awareness about the harmful effects of drug consumption and the importance of staying away from substance abuse.
Mrs. Isakkiyammal, a Child Protection-related Officer from Tenkasi District, also addressed the students on child safety and awareness, highlighting the importance of personal safety and responsible behaviour.
Following the programme, all students took a “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu” pledge in the presence of the Principal and faculty members, reaffirming their commitment to building a healthy and drug-free society.
