The Republic Day Celebration at Aladi Aruna College of Liberal Arts and Science (Co-ed.), Alangulam, on 26th January 2024 (Friday) was organized with great enthusiasm by the Principal, faculty members, and students, honoring the spirit of the Constitution and the values of democracy.
The event commenced with the rendition of Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Dr. V. Muthamilan. The flag song, led by student volunteers from various departments, was sung in unison by students and faculty as a mark of respect to the nation. S. Priyatharshini (I B.Sc Psychology) delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the day’s celebration. The Presidential Address by Dr. V. Muthamilan highlighted the significance of patriotism, inspiring students to uphold the principles of unity and national integrity. A special speech was delivered by E. Evangeline Easther (I B.Sc Psychology), emphasizing the historical significance and importance of Republic Day.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by R. Santhanamari (I B.Sc Psychology), expressing gratitude to the faculty members and students for their active participation. The program ended with the National Anthem, followed by the distribution of sweets to students and faculty members, marking a memorable celebration of India’s democratic spirit.
